The Silo is one of our favorite places in Falmouth.  It is a landmark that provides a link to our farming heritage.  It is also a lovely entrance to the 300 committees pathways along the Coonamessett River.

 Check it out!

To help continue the upkeep of the silo,

YOU CAN SEND DONATIONS TO THE 300 COMMITTEE (a nonprofit organization).

Please EARMARK THEM FOR THE SILO upkeep.

The 90 year old dairy silo at 682 Sandwich Road represents a time when Falmouth was a large farming community.  The silo is situated on an inviting trailhead center for hikes along the Coonamessett River which are being laid out and maintained by the 300 committee and volunteers.  The silo is a focal point at the trailhead and provides a visual setting for educational displays about Falmouth's farming history from cranberries, salt hay and sheep in the 18th century to strawberries and diary from 19th to 20th centuries to small local vegetable and livestock farms in the 21st century.
