The 90 year old dairy filo at 682 Sandwich Road represents a time when Falmouth was a large
farming community. The silo is situated on an inviting trailhead center for hikes along the Coonamessett River which
are being laid out and maintained by the 300 committee and volunteers. The silo will become a focal point at the trai8lhead
and will provide a visual setting for educational displays about Falmouth's farming history from cranberries, salt hay
and sheep in the 18th century to strawberries and diary from t19th to 20th centuries to small local vegetable and livestock
farms in the 21st century.
