Hi Farmsters,

Blueberry picking is in full swing; the heat is hastening the ripening. Many vegetable crops are ready.

It should be great weather for the J-Night buffet and we will be cooking up a couple of great dishes for the Friday Night Farm Dinner http://www.coonamessettfarm.com/id47.html

We have a special deal; a onetime meat CSA pickup. We will be offering a 15 pound meat share for $120 (This is a $138 dollar value; or about 14% off the retail price). The pickup can be arranged anytime between this Thursday and next Thursday. We only have the ability to do 10 shares. Each share will include the following: pork spare ribs, London broil steak, pork chops, 2 lbs ground beef, 2 strip or ribeye steaks, 1 chicken and 1 pork loin or shoulder. This is the usual grass-fed hormone free meat that we normally sell. This great deal exists because we need the freezer space; it is a long story that involves ice cream. Please call 508-563-2560 if interested with your pickup date; or email this address.

We are also going to do another batch of smoked chickens. Pickup will start next Thursday, July 30th at 3 pm. The price is $25 and this time we will include a pint of potato salad. Please call or email your order.

Well that is pretty much of anything I had to say that was important. I am kind of bored right now so I think I will become a Republican candidate for President. My platform is very simple; I want to protect the “little guy”. We are sick and tired of being marginalized (love that word!)! To this end I would require anyone over six feet tall to look down while walking (some may view this as looking down at the little guy). I would also require step stools in all business establishments and parking lots (or require all pickup trucks to have stepsides). That’s pretty much it for policy; I have no opinion on terrorism, nuclear stuff, the economy (we have Walmart; that’s all the economy we need), or global climate change. I am seeking investors, sorry I mean supporters, who are willing to contribute more than one million dollars to my campaign (obviously you will have to be a Corporation to comply with campaign finance laws when contributing this amount). Being that corporations are people you would have to have gross sales under one hundred million to be considered a “little guy” for the purposes of my proposed legislation.

I lost his cell number since I called him last for financing.

Campaign kick-off tonight at the farm (sometimes referred to as J-Night). Bring liquid contributions.
